On June 10, President of Saudi Saud University, Badran Al-Umar, led a delegation to visit Beijing Language and Culture University. They held talks and reached a comprehensive cooperation consensus with our university on establishing a Chinese major, co-sponsoring the Confucius Institute, co-conducting personnel training and scientific research, etc.

The two sides signed the Agreement between the Confucius Institute Headquarters and Saudi Saud University on Dispatching Chinese Teachers, which is a practical action and an important measure for the two sides to earnestly implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries and support Saudi Arabia in carrying out Chinese education. In the next step, the Confucius Institute headquarters is willing to continue to maintain close contact with Saudi Arabia and other relevant parties, including Saudi Saud University, to carry out in-depth cooperation on the establishment of the Confucius Institute, the training of local teachers in Saudi Arabia, and the development of Arabic-language Chinese textbooks.
