On the afternoon of March 30, the voluntary service activity of “Gathering in Huaqing, Companion with Warmth-Dutch Characteristic Culture” was successfully carried out. In this activity, 2 Chinese volunteers and 1 Dutch volunteer showed everyone a free and open country, Holland.

Volunteers introduced Holland’s geography, national flag, national anthem, national flower and history, and everyone got a better understanding of Holland. Volunteers introduced the Dutch language and played the “Voice of Holland”. Everyone was attracted and intoxicated by the beautiful song. Then they introduced Van Gogh, a great Dutch artist, and the atmosphere was lively and interactive.

The volunteers also talked about the local conditions and customs of Holland, showing Dutch cuisine, social customs, taboos and famous tourist cities.

This activity introduces a more dimensional Holland from the aspects of history, food and language, so that residents and students participating in the activity can appreciate the beauty of a foreign country.
